A perfectly creamy tiramisu latte featuring mascarpone cold foam, rich cocoa-infused milk, and espresso, topped with a dusting of cocoa powder and an optional lady finger garnish.

Ingredients

Mascarpone Cold Foam

  • 1 tablespoon mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup

Tiramisu Latte

  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
  • 2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon rum extract (optional)
  • 2 oz espresso or 8 oz freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 lady finger (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the mascarpone cold foam: Place the mascarpone cheese in a microwave-safe jar or container and microwave for 5 seconds just until softened.
  2. Combine ingredients for cold foam: Add 2 tablespoon heavy cream, 1 tablespoon whole milk, and 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup to the softened mascarpone, then froth together using a milk frother until smooth and ultra-creamy. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the flavored milk: In a small saucepan, add 3/4 cup whole milk, 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup, 2 teaspoon cocoa powder, and 1/4 teaspoon rum extract if using. Heat over low heat, whisking continuously until well combined and the milk is warm and steaming, but do not boil. Remove from heat.
  4. Brew coffee or espresso: Brew 2 oz of espresso or 8 oz of freshly brewed coffee into a large mug.
  5. Assemble the latte: Pour the warm chocolate milk mixture over the coffee. Then, carefully top with the mascarpone cold foam.
  6. Garnish and serve: Dust the top with additional cocoa powder and garnish with a lady finger if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Microwaving the mascarpone cheese briefly makes it easier to froth into a smooth foam.
  • Use a milk frother for the best creamy texture in the mascarpone cold foam.
  • The rum extract is optional but adds authentic tiramisu flavor; you can omit it for a non-alcoholic version.
  • Use freshly brewed espresso for a more intense coffee flavor, or substitute with strong brewed coffee if espresso is not available.
  • Adjust the cocoa powder amount based on your preferred chocolate intensity.
